Bravo! Music Academy

Bravo! Music Academy is a piano academy at Katong Shopping Centre, 865 Mountbatten Road, #01-85, founded by concert pianist Zhibin Chiam, who brings more than a decade of performance experience including a solo recital at the Esplanade Recital Studio. The academy's stated belief is that music is best taught by people who live it on stage, so every teacher is chosen and trained to bring real stage experience into the practice room rather than technique alone. Today the school offers personalised piano instruction and music theory for students of all ages and levels, from first-time beginners to advanced pianists preparing for exams or performance, taught at a studio equipped with a baby grand piano, with annual student recitals. A Talent Development Program gives rigorous coaching to passionate young pianists aged seven and above who show exceptional talent. Enquiries go to 8755 2493. Beyond weekly lessons, the academy's site sets out music lessons for kids and teens and for adults, each tailored to age and learning style, with adult lessons customised to personal goals such as a song for a special occasion or continued grading certification.
