Bukit Timah Music School offers piano lessons in Singapore and other instrument courses from its studio at 45 Holland Drive, near Holland Village and Buona Vista. The school teaches leisure keyboard, classical piano, music theory, acoustic guitar and ukulele to children, parents and adult learners.
Lessons and programmes
- Classical Piano: the ABRSM piano syllabus, covering scales, sight reading, aural tests and music theory, with one-on-one coaching. The syllabus can also support students in the Music Elective Programme (MEP) in aural skills and music analysis.
- Leisure Keyboard: chords, music notation, rudiments and basic arrangement, using the keyboard's rhythm box and sounds to play songs in any genre.
- Music Theory: notation, rhythm and metre, scales and key signatures, harmony and form, aural skills, intervals and chords.
- Acoustic Guitar: basic chords and strumming, tuning, reading sheet music and tablature, fingerpicking, scales, and improvisation and songwriting at advanced levels.
- Ukulele: chords, strumming patterns, playing popular songs, ear training, basic theory and group playing.
