Clarinet Lessons - Brian Lim

Brian Lim teaches clarinet from a base at McNair Road, Block 112, and his own site frames the work around long school-band experience rather than a single studio syllabus. He began on clarinet in 2006, has conducted school bands since 2014, and now teaches middle-school band and popular music at Singapore American School while also working as a school band instructor and woodwind section tutor in local schools. Private teaching since 2014 covers clarinet, saxophone, and ocarina for children and adults, from beginners to experienced players, including students with special needs and students preparing for ABRSM and Trinity music exams. Performing life runs alongside the teaching: he founded Not A Clarinet Choir in 2022, which took Gold with Distinction at the Singapore International Band Festival that year, and he remains resident conductor of Saints Alumni Band. The directory lists only Woodwind, which understates a practice that also spans flute, saxophone, ocarina, and Indonesian gamelan, so clarinet enquiries should still confirm current availability, lesson length, and format directly.
