Cristofori Music School Bishan Junction 8 (Cristofori Music Paradise)

Inside Junction 8 in Bishan, Cristofori Music Paradise is the local branch of the Cristofori music school network, teaching piano, violin, guitar, vocals, cello, ukulele, woodwind, drums and brass. The school's published starter packages show how it likes to begin. The Piano Explorer gives children aged 4 to 12 four one-to-one lessons for $229, with free piano studio rental for practice and three months of access to its interactive piano e-book. Its Cocktail Music Package, also aimed at ages 5 to 12, lets a child mix up to two instruments — chosen from piano, violin, guitar and drums — across eight 30-minute one-to-one lessons for $399, materials included. Older beginners are not left out: the Adult Piano Debut Package offers teenagers and adults ten 30-minute one-to-one lessons for $399, lesson book included, to be completed within three months. Young violinists can also join the Junior Violin Ensemble at this branch — $399 for ten group sessions for ages 4 to 12, with lesson materials, registration and a violin loan all included, running on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Students perform beyond the classroom too: the school stages an annual Rockschool concert and Star Student Awards at venues such as Victoria Theatre. The branch is at 9 Bishan Place, #04-02D, Singapore 579837; enquiries on 8766 0645.
