Damaru Singapore

Damaru Singapore calls itself Singapore's school of traditional Indian drumming, and its own pages explain that identity with unusual clarity. The school gathers enthusiasts and professionals who want to lift the craft of traditional Indian drumming, covering folk, street, and classical drumming traditions from various states in India and presenting them in a contemporary style described as unique to Singapore. Teaching is framed as education first: spreading the history, traditions, and techniques of the art through a structured approach that stays enjoyable, communal, and informal at its roots, on the stated belief that this art form is for all to learn. Its vision is bigger than classes alone — making traditional Indian drumming a lifestyle in Singapore and building a community of passionate, competent, cultured drummers who uphold its traditions. Contact on the school's site is wearedamaru@gmail.com and +65 9126 9412, with WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube links. One warning: its own pages disagree on the address, so confirm the location before visiting.
