About
The Radiant Spectrum is Singapore's first and only music education centre dedicated exclusively to children and young adults with special needs, offering specialized piano lessons, group music classes, and enrichment programs designed to enhance communication, expression, motor skills, and social development. Founded by principal Samantha Soh-Tann, who recognized the transformative power of music for neurodiverse learners, the school serves over 200 students aged 3-16+ through interactive songs, games, instruments like handbells and xylophones, movement activities, and structured exercises focusing on pitch, rhythm, dynamics, tempo, turn-taking, and therapist-child bonding. Classes emphasize small groups (4-10 children), therapist-led instruction with assistants, body awareness via dance, and fine/gross motor skill building without mandatory parent accompaniment. Featured in Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao, it refines quality of life for special needs students (autism, ADHD, etc.) through joyful, tailored learning that fosters progress in mainstream school readiness and emotional growth.
