Dolce Music Academy

Inside Bukit Timah Shopping Centre, at 170 Upper Bukit Timah Road, #B1-45, Dolce Music Academy builds its teaching around one idea: a personalised plan for every student, whether that student is a casual learner exploring an interest or a serious musician aiming at a future in music. Founding principal Mr Zhao anchors the school; he performed at Yo-Yo Ma's music festival in 2019 and has given orchestra and solo performances across Asia, and the academy also brings in instructors from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, the Royal College of Music and Trinity in the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong performing arts institutions for masterclasses. Lessons go beyond technique to explore musical inspiration with students, so that pupils enjoy the music they make. The programme list covers a beginner's course for young children aged five to twelve, ABRSM and Trinity graded examinations from Grade 1 to diploma level, group theory lessons, and private music lessons, with pop music classes on offer for hobby learners exploring music making. Student testimonials on the academy's site name piano, guitar, violin, and oboe among the instruments taught, and Mr Zhao himself is thanked in those testimonials for piano and oboe teaching.
