✦About
Get to know us.
In Tengah, EdFang Piano Studio teaches piano and music theory as one connected track rather than two separate subjects. Children and adults work through ABRSM piano Grades 1 to 8, while players aiming higher can move on to ABRSM and Trinity diploma courses. Adults who play for pleasure have their own leisure route, and five- to seven-year-olds begin with music appreciation classes pitched at their age. Theory runs alongside the practical work from Grades 1 to 5, and the advanced theory class for Grades 6 to 8 keeps groups to a maximum of four students meeting for one hour and thirty minutes a week. Performance classes give students a stage to test what they have practised, and the advanced theory class builds on the foundation of the earlier grades, taking the deeper topics of theory in a structured manner. The studio also publishes detailed piano education articles on harmony, tone production and musicianship. Enquiries go through the studio's own website, where the full course list is set out.
