Fidelio Music Studio

Looking for violin lessons in Singapore, or piano and music theory lessons near Aljunied? Fidelio Music Studio is a private music studio at 118 Aljunied Avenue 2, set up in 2009 by pianist Janet Tay and violinist and violist Matthias Oestringer. The studio welcomes students of all levels, from complete beginners taking their first steps in music to advanced learners working towards Diploma qualifications such as ABRSM or Trinity.

Lessons and programmes

• Violin and viola with Matthias Oestringer, a lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and an active orchestral player and competition juror.
• Piano, piano accompaniment and music theory with Janet Tay, an ABRSM-trained pianist who studied piano performance in Germany and is an adjunct lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.
• Beginner violin lessons follow the Sassmannshaus Tradition (Early Start on the Violin), a structured method that suits children starting from around four or five years old.

Performance opportunities

Music comes alive through performance, so the studio organises intimate group performances, annual year-end concerts, collaborative showcases with fellow teachers and their students, and string ensemble performances at the Esplanade.
