FORTE MUSICADEMY PTE LTD

Forté Musicademy sits at 10 Winstedt Road, #03-09, Singapore 227977, a short walk from Newton MRT Exit B, and has taught there since its founding in 2010. Founder Karen Wong, Head of Keyboard and a former NAFA lecturer with over two decades of piano teaching, leads a faculty including Jocelyn Ng, Angelies Earlnus and violin/viola teacher Jonathan Lee. The teaching ladder is unusually structured: strings run from a beginner class for ages five to six, through Grades 1–5 and 6–8, to diploma and portfolio tracks, each with a termly studio class and masterclass or performance class; piano runs from beginner to advanced; and theory and aural classes follow the ABRSM syllabus in group and individual formats. For the youngest children, Little Fortissimos is a parent-accompanied group programme for ages three to four built on Orff, Kodály and Dalcroze methods across three terms of ten lessons. Beyond lessons, the school runs masterclasses, its own ensembles — Forté Poco Camerata, Forté Camerata and Forté Concertante — the annual Éclat concert, a bi-annual Piano & Strings Competition, and the Forte Cello Festival, and its students hold prizes from competitions including the Singapore National Piano & Violin Competition. All new students are assessed before enrolment, and the school is closed on Mondays and Sundays. Book an assessment by emailing contact@fortemusicademy.com or calling 6338 0002.
