Guitar Breakthrough Coach

For adults in Singapore who want guitar lessons built around their own goals, Guitar Breakthrough Coach, also known as Bed Hair Guitarist, teaches private lessons in Potong Pasir. Instructor Justin Low is a Musicians Institute graduate whose teaching experience is given as around twenty years on his blues page, and his lessons cover acoustic, electric and blues guitar for beginners through to experienced players. There is no fixed syllabus: each lesson is personalised to the student's abilities, needs and goals, starting with fundamentals such as right-hand positioning, strumming patterns and essential chords, then moving toward the songs and styles the student actually wants to play. Beginners are told they can expect to start playing songs by their third or fourth lesson, and to work toward favourite songs within about four months with regular practice. Lessons are arranged individually rather than on a fixed timetable, and online lessons are also available. Beyond private lessons, Justin runs group classes and workshops, including the Blues Guitar Workshop 2026, where students take what they have learned into jam sessions. The blues strand goes deeper into rhythm and groove, the twelve-bar form, bending, vibrato, phrasing and improvisation, so players learn to build solos rather than repeat memorised patterns.
