Harpist Katherine

Katherine Tay is a harpist for hire, not a lesson school: her own site presents live harp music for weddings, corporate events and private functions across Singapore, and no lessons, courses or teaching are mentioned anywhere on it. Her repertoire leans towards English pop songs and well-known movie themes, with performance clips including a love ballad, a Disney favourite and a children's television theme. She has played the harp since childhood and has performed hundreds of afternoon-tea solo sets at venues including The St. Regis Singapore, The Fullerton Hotel, Raffles Hotel Singapore and Shangri-La Hotel. Booking is deliberately low-friction for event planners: a solo harpist needs only about two by two metres of floor space, transports her own harp, and needs no extra instrument hire, which the site notes keeps the cost down against larger ensembles. Song requests outside her usual repertoire are considered when made several months ahead and only where the piece suits the harp. The directory lists a base at 105c Edgefield Plains and phone +65 9234 8280, but neither appears on her own site, so confirm both before relying on them.
