✦About
Get to know us.
Horizon Academy began small: its own website says it started in 2017 with just two students attending drum lessons, and it has kept growing from there. The academy's stated approach is to teach through fun, encouraging and spontaneous interaction, with a strong emphasis on supporting each student's musical creativity while building the fundamentals that carry playing forward. Drums and ukulele head its website's title, and lessons can be held at its home studio in Bukit Panjang, which fits with the directory's address of 101 Cashew Road in the same area. The directory also lists a contact number, 8895 2391, and files the academy under a much wider set of instruments, but the academy's own pages name only drums and ukulele, so those two are the instruments this description stands behind. Horizon describes itself as working towards becoming a full-fledged music studio, which makes it a younger, still-growing teaching practice rather than a large established school.
