Joyhouse Learning Centre Pte. Ltd.

Joyhouse Learning Centre in Bishan is a student-care and tuition centre, and its listing here should be read in that light rather than as a music school. The centre is at Block 231, 231 Bishan Street 23, with phone 6554 0603, and its own site describes after-school care on Mondays to Fridays from 2:30 to 7:30 for pupils in Primary 1 to 6. Teachers guide and monitor school work daily, and the service also covers outdoor activities and character-development lessons during school holidays, alongside study and coaching time in term. Tuition is offered to student-care pupils at special rates in English, Maths, Science, Chinese, Chinese creative writing and higher-order and problem-solving Maths. The student-care service is led by Mr Teo, described as an experienced educator with many years of teaching experience in Mathematics and Principles of Accounts, and the centre presents itself as a clean, safe and conducive place for children while parents are at work. Its home page sums up the approach as imagining, creating, learning, thinking, playing and teaching, with the planet as its playground.
