Kadenz Music Academy

Kadenz Music Academy works differently from a conventional studio school: its teachers come to the student. Its own site presents personalised home-based lessons for all ages, with one-on-one teaching in the convenience of the student's own home, and parents are encouraged to sit in on lessons and receive detailed updates, or text updates when they cannot attend. The main programmes are piano and violin. Piano covers all ages and skill levels, whether preparing for exams or learning for leisure, building foundations and skills through engaging methods with regular progress assessments. Violin teaching works from the very beginning on posture, bow control, intonation and listening skills, balancing technique, repertoire and musical expression for graded exams or personal enjoyment. Younger children have the Little Tinkle Musician Programme, open from age 2.5, which explores percussion, singing, rhythm and simple piano through playful lessons aimed at creativity, motor skills and musical understanding. Teachers hold at least a degree in Music with years of teaching experience, students perform in bi-annual recitals, and the site reports a 100 percent merit and distinction rate in ABRSM exams. Complimentary trial lessons are offered, and the directory lists the academy at 111 North Bridge Road, unit 07-11, Peninsula Plaza, phone 8650 0996, though lessons themselves are home-based.
