mae's music and english

Esther Mae Lee, who holds a Master of Education (Early Childhood) and a Bachelor of Music (Honours) and has been an early childhood educator since 2017, runs Mae's Music and English as a small, personalised enrichment practice for children. Instead of a fixed syllabus, families build a modular plan from short activity blocks of ten to fifteen minutes each: Move & Groove sessions inspired by Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Kodály-based solfege singing games, Kodály-inspired rhythm play, instrument play across ukulele, keyboard and percussion, writing music, and performing a piece or an original song for family. Older children can also strum the ukulele, write their own songs and pick up solfege and rhythm along the way. Alongside the music strand sits an English strand, with phonics and reading lessons designed to connect each child's first loves with language. The practice states that its music, phonics and reading classes are fun and interactive and customised to each child's pace and interests, and trial sessions can be scheduled. Its address is Blk 176B, Hougang Street 13, Level 10, Singapore 532176.
