Medley Music Academy is a music school offering piano lessons Singapore families can attend at SAFRA Toa Payoh, 293 Toa Payoh Lorong 6, #02-02. Also known as Medley Music School, it is an authorised ABRSM examination centre and teaches through a structured curriculum designed to build confidence as well as musical skill.
Lessons and programmes
- Individual piano lessons with structured stages in each grade and a supplementary exam programme for students taking ABRSM graded exams.
- Group keyboard (Keys for Kids) with internal assessments at the end of each stage, leading to ABRSM Music Medals or alignment with graded exams.
- Individual and group violin lessons, including a duet component in the individual programme and specially curated ensemble pieces in the group class.
- Theory lessons, including accelerated group theory for ABRSM Grade 3 and Grade 5 in small groups.
- Early childhood classes: Medley Toddler and Medley Preschooler, which lead into learning an instrument.
- Hearts for Music, an inclusive music group for parents and children of all abilities.

Why students choose Medley Music Academy
The curriculum covers practical playing, theory, performance, aural, sight reading and in-house exam preparation. Every student takes part in a Performance Empowering Class (PEC) once a term, where they perform for peers at the same playing level. An annual concert is held towards the end of each year, and holiday music workshops are complimentary for students.
Teachers attend monthly training workshops, and key teachers are appointed to observe lessons for quality assurance. Students are also encouraged to use their music in community events such as hospice performances and hospital carolling.

According to the enrolment terms (last updated 1 Oct 2024), there is a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $40 and a compulsory refundable deposit of $100. Lesson fees are collected monthly, and SAFRA members enjoy discounted course fees with a valid SAFRA card.
Courses are scheduled so that every student receives 44 lessons in a calendar year, which is 11 lessons per term, regardless of lesson day. There are no regular lessons on Medley and public holidays.
Students must inform their teacher and the admin staff at least a day in advance. Missed individual lessons are replaced up to a maximum of 2 per term. Group lessons cannot be replaced, but students on MC can receive up to 2 medical vouchers per term to offset the next month's fee.
Yes. Medley Toddler and Medley Preschooler are early childhood classes that lead into learning an instrument, and the academy says its programmes are designed for both children and adults.
