MS Academy by Music Solutions

MS Academy by Music Solutions sits at 20 Lengkok Bahru, #01-14 Enabling Village Canopy Block, and describes itself as Singapore's first purpose-built inclusive music school. It was founded by Music Solutions, a social enterprise that has taught music in Singapore since 1999, working in mainstream schools, SPED schools, eldercare centres, and community spaces, and it became a registered social enterprise in June 2023. The academy's stated purpose is to close a gap it saw in music education: mainstream studios are rarely set up for learners who use wheelchairs, are non-verbal, are on the autism spectrum, or simply learn differently. Its lessons are therefore designed to be adaptive and welcoming for persons with disabilities, caregivers, and neurotypical learners alike, with barrier-free studios inside Enabling Village, Singapore's first inclusive community space for persons with disabilities. Its Vocational Training Programme, part of the Project InteGr8 inclusion framework, is curated for persons with disabilities who want employable skills in the music and media industry, with limited class sizes and consultation by WhatsApp. Enquiries go to 8020 4855, and the directory listing also offers a trial lesson request.
