Looking for music classes for kids in Bukit Panjang? Muse Arts @ Hillion Mall is a children's performing arts studio at Hillion Mall, 17 Petir Road #02-24, offering music and movement classes for preschoolers together with dance, musical theatre and keyboard and ukulele lessons in Singapore's west.

Lessons and programmes

The studio programmes run in graded age groups, each in 45-minute sessions sold as a 10-session term package:

• Musical Babies (6 to 18 months): parent-accompanied sessions on rhythm, tempo, physical development, bonding and early language.
• Musical Toddlers (1.5 to 3 years): rhythm instruments, Orff instruments and resonator bells, plus an introduction to hip-hop, jazz and cultural dance and to musical theatre.
• Musical Juniors (3 to 5 years): ukulele, keyboard, cajon and marimba, three dance styles and simple musical theatre with scene changes and sung lines.
• Musical Stars (5 to 7 years) and Musical Stars Advanced (7 to 9 years): melody and harmony on ukulele, keyboard and marimba, music theory and singing, synchronised dance, and performing roles in musical theatre.

Muse Arts also lists 1-to-1 piano, keyboard and ukulele lessons from age 4 (30 or 45 minutes) and group ukulele and keyboard classes (45 or 60 minutes).

Fees and trial classes

Published term packages range from $300 to $400 for the 10-session programmes, and a single trial class costs $33 to $45 depending on the age group. Term packages are recommended and include a one-time $30 registration fee covering a drawstring bag, uniform, song album, termly certificate and evaluation, and photo and video updates via Google Drive. Missed lessons can be made up within the same month, and a successful referral earns 10% off the term fee.
