My Piano Room

My Piano Room is a specialist piano school for children aged four and up, led by principal Serene Tan, who the school's own website describes as a specialist in early childhood piano education as well as a music director and composer and sound designer for theatre productions. That stage background shapes the teaching: the school says its aim is to build a rock-solid technical foundation while nurturing each child's natural curiosity, taking students from their first notes through to ABRSM examination level. Every teacher on the team is personally mentored and trained by Serene Tan, with regular internal training in modern pedagogy, child psychology, and teaching strategies, so the experience is meant to stay consistent whoever teaches. Performance is part of the programme, with year-end recitals and student showcases at the Esplanade Concourse. The school's own website gives its address as 77 East Coast Road, #02-01, Singapore 428783, and its phone number as +65 9646 1751.
