Navyaa Raga

Navyaa Raga teaches Carnatic vocal, light music and voice enhancement courses for adults and children in Singapore, from its base at 158 Hougang St 11. Its own site welcomes beginners and returning learners alike, promising help to explore classical music, strengthen vocal skills and sing with confidence. Founder Akshayaa S trains students in Carnatic and light music, building foundations in Sruti alignment, voice culture and classical repertoire, and the school says she brings around 20 years of experience as a singer and performer. Her credentials include diplomas in Carnatic vocal and Carnatic violin from the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society in 2010, the title Gaana Chudar from Krishnanjali Academy in Chennai in 2011, and winning Mediacorp Vasantham's Yaar Antha Star in 2010, after which she represented Singapore as the sole Indian female vocalist at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games opening ceremony. Classes run as small groups for individual attention, with flexible online classes, and the school lists Carnatic music at beginner and intermediate levels alongside light music training and voice enhancement.
