Neill's Jazz Lab

Neill's Jazz Lab is Singapore's dedicated jazz drumming school, led by award-winning drummer and educator Neill Gautier from its studio at 9 Yio Chu Kang Rd. The school says it is Asia's first Dante Agostini accredited drum school, an accreditation Neill brings from Paris, where he won the 1st Prize from the American School of Modern Music and the 1st Superior Prize from the Dante Agostini Drum School, after more than 20 years performing and teaching. Every lesson is built around the student's goals, pace and style, from first-timers picking up sticks to advanced drummers pushing past a plateau, and no prior musical knowledge is required to start. Lessons run as one-to-one coaching, regular weekly coaching, or small-group sessions of no more than two students, and they can be taken at home or in the studio, in English or French. Coaching also prepares students for performances, exams and milestones, and the school says a typical weekly student can pick up basic rock or pop rhythms within about three months.
