Piano Les Sonatines Joan Gauthier

At Les Sonatines, piano teacher Joan Gauthier runs a bilingual French and English piano studio in Singapore, presented on her own site as Bishan and Thomson, with the directory address given as 29 Binchang Rise. Gauthier has taught in Singapore since 2015, after teaching in Paris, New York and London, and holds a Conservatoire qualification (CFEM, awarded with distinction). Lessons run from age 3 to adulthood, in sessions of 45 to 90 minutes, in a double-height studio built around an acoustic piano. The teaching menu is unusually specific. A no-commitment discovery session introduces the studio and lets Gauthier assess a new pupil. Les Sonatinettes, from age 3, uses her own manual to teach music reading through play, colour and image for ages 3 to 6. Equilibre Musical pairs a classical conservatoire base with free repertoire including pop, rock and video game music for children and teenagers. Adults follow personal projects at any level, and a specialist strand supports neurodivergent pupils, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia and high potential, with limited places. Online lessons and school-holiday stages are also offered, and first contact is by WhatsApp. Lesson fees are not published on the site pages read.
