Rockschool, RSL London

Rockschool, RSL London is the Singapore face of RSL Awards' graded music qualifications, run through the RSL Event Center at 107 North Bridge Road, #04-10 Funan. It is an exam and qualification route rather than a weekly lesson school: candidates work toward Rockschool grades from introductory levels to advanced study, with the syllabus built around popular music repertoire alongside technique and theory. The contemporary syllabus covers piano, guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, keys, vocal, popular music theory and music production, while RSL Classical adds classical piano, violin and guitar. Performance Arts Awards cover musical theatre, acting, screen acting, jazz dance and street dance, and vocational qualifications extend into music practice and creative industries work. Exams are offered as recorded digital exams, and the centre also runs events such as the Asian Supreme Drum Competition and a dance and musical theatre programme under its Stageschool banner, plus RiFF interactive practice sessions that turn RSL pieces into multi-angle practice. Enquiries go through the Funan centre, and the listing invites prospective candidates to request a consultation.
