S’Chorus Music

S'Chorus Music runs Play & Sing ukulele classes from 5 Coleman Street, #02-22 Excelsior Shopping Centre, Singapore 179805, a short walk from City Hall MRT that its own ukulele site puts at about three minutes. The format is deliberately social rather than academic: small group jams where total beginners strum and sing a real song in their very first lesson, working from songs they bring in, from The Beatles to Teresa Teng, across pop, oldies, Mandarin songs and ballads. Students learn to hold and tune the instrument, pick up essential chords and strumming patterns, and practise singing while playing, building toward a small repertoire by the end of term. Signing up includes a brand-new ukulele to keep rather than borrow, so practice at home starts on day one. The site also runs customised sessions for companies, schools and wellness teams, and its student comments name Patrick and Amy as patient, encouraging teachers. Enquiries go through WhatsApp on 9830 8386, with replies usually within the hour in Singapore time, and the directory listing also takes trial-lesson requests with a response promised within 24 hours.
