Seetharam Arts (Bharatanatyam & Carnatic Vocal Class)

Seetharam Arts in Jurong West teaches two linked South Indian classical traditions: Bharatanatyam dance and Carnatic music. Its own website describes the school as a platform to bring out the talent within a person, with dance and music lessons following a comprehensive, well-rounded and immersive curriculum that places emphasis on quality and the pursuit of excellence. Bharatanatyam teaching covers Indian classical dance theory and cultural history alongside fitness and body conditioning, while the school's stated mission is to teach and spread the traditional art form to the younger generation. The studio sits at Block 428 Jurong West Avenue 1, #01-244, and its published hours are Monday to Thursday 4pm to 8pm, Friday 9am to 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 1pm. Enquiries go to 8498 2829. Newcomers join a school that treats dance and music as one tradition rather than two separate hobbies, with theory and cultural history part of the training rather than an optional extra.
