✦About
Get to know us.
Singapore PianoLab was founded by sisters Chia Yi Ling and Vilynn Chia, whose shared teaching and playing experience totals more than 30 years. Their studio frames piano learning as something accessible and enjoyable rather than rigid, with personalised lessons shaped around each student's pace, goals and stage. Beginners start with the fundamentals of piano and theory in a fun, approachable way, intermediate players build advanced technique and a wider repertoire, and advanced students refine challenging pieces for performance or high-level exams. Exam preparation covers ABRSM, Trinity and LCM, while leisure players are equally welcome. Lessons run for 30, 45 or 60 minutes, and theory is woven in alongside technique and creativity. Students can learn in studio at Upper Bukit Timah or Choa Chu Kang, at home, or online, which makes scheduling workable for busy families and adults. The emphasis throughout is confidence, patience and a lasting love of music, not just the next grade.
