Soundsteps Music Academy

At Soundsteps Music Academy in Bukit Timah, piano is taught as a game. The academy's own site describes Singapore's only game-based group piano programme for children aged 3 to 11, run in small groups of three to six so each child gets attention while learning alongside friends. Lessons turn progress into levels to unlock: children work through six game stages, see their scores, collect stars, crowns, and milestone badges, and celebrate each song passed. Within a few months, the site says, beginners can play songs with both hands, read musical notation, compose short pieces, and perform them for friends. The programme also prepares children for ABRSM exams if they choose that path, though exams are presented as an option rather than the point of the course. The studio sits at Bukit Timah Shopping Centre, 170 Upper Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 588179, matching the directory address, and its phone number, 9106 9710, matches the directory too. Parents can book a trial through the academy's site.
