Stradivari Strings

At Sultan Plaza on Jalan Sultan, Stradivari Strings works as both a music school and a shop for bowed-string instruments, a combination that shapes how it teaches. Its own site says the school has been running for over a decade, with private lessons customised to each student because no two students are the same, and a retail range covering violin, viola, cello and bows. Children and adults are taught from beginner to advanced level, and senior teachers are described as having between 10 and more than 30 years of coaching experience in Singapore, selected for qualifications, experience and aptitude for coaching. Founder Rita Yeo is named on the site, which also records her Spirit of Enterprise 2020/2021 award. Trying an instrument before buying is part of the experience described in student accounts on the site, where choosing a violin and bow by sound and feel sits alongside the lesson itself. The directory listing gives a trial-lesson route, and the school can be reached on 9813 7769.
