Studio Verve

Studio Verve in Buangkok describes itself as an institution aiming to redefine what education means, with music learning built around the individual student rather than a fixed classroom routine. Its foundation courses start for children from 3 years old, while classical and contemporary courses run for all ages, and it has created its own curriculum, Young Pianists Playworld, building on classical tradition and applying it across genres and styles. Every new student receives a lesson and curriculum proposal matched to their learning needs, with regular reviews recorded in the studio's own progress report book, and its teachers hold diplomas, masters degrees and other awards, including musicians from high-profile performing groups. Beyond weekly lessons, students get an annual concert, periodic masterclasses and ensemble classes, and can join interest groups such as pop ensembles, fusion bands and acapella groups, in well-equipped studios that include tutorial rooms for theory and group lessons. The studio at 996A Buangkok Crescent Level 3, Singapore 531996, is open Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 11am to 9pm, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm, and closed on Thursdays, and enquiries go to 9456 4608.
