Swarangan

Swarangan teaches Hindustani classical, semi-classical and light vocal music in Singapore, in the Guru-Shishya tradition and in the Gwalior and Jaipur-Atrauli gharana lineages. Its founder and teacher, Tanuja Sane, holds a Master of Arts in Hindustani Vocal Music from Bharati Vidyapeeth in Pune and has more than 20 years of experience working with and teaching students, having trained under maestros of the Jaipur-Atrauli and Gwalior traditions. Classes are split by stage: beginner classes for children up to 12 years focus on Hindustani classical vocal basics and children's songs, beginner classes for adults aged 12 and above cover classical vocal basics with semi-classical and light songs, and advanced classes require previous basic training and depend on the student's level. Individual and group classes are available, held at the studio on the West Coast, at the student's home in Singapore, or online across time zones. The school is affiliated with Bharati Vidyapeeth School of Performing Arts for diploma certifications, and its studio address is 52 West Coast Crescent, #07-09, West Bay Condominium, Singapore 128036.
