TCR Music School

TCR's own website calls the outfit TCR Music Station, and the strongest evidence about what it actually does comes from its xinyao work rather than from any school prospectus. Jurong Pioneer Junior College records that singers and musicians from TCR Music Station performed at its Xinyao Appreciation Session, sharing how the home-grown xinyao genre has grown over the decades while singing iconic xinyao songs, and notes that the station co-organised the annual Xinyao Singing and Songwriting Competition with the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning, the college and Lianhe Zaobao. That picture — a local music station nurturing Singaporean songwriting and performance — fits the trading name on its own site far better than the directory's label of a violin school. The directory and live page place TCR at 231 Bain Street with phone 6337 4482, but neither a violin curriculum nor any lesson fee, age range or class schedule surfaced on the pages opened. Visitors should therefore approach this listing as a xinyao performance and songwriting outfit first, and confirm directly whether any teaching happens there at all.
