The Music Nest

The Music Nest, at 183 Jalan Pelikat, #01-84, The Promenade @ Pelikat, Singapore 537643, is a ground-floor studio a short walk from Kovan, built around a real grand piano in a sound-treated room. It is founder Chieng Lee Zse's own studio: she trained in piano performance in London, has taught for more than 20 years, and the site says she has guided students from first keyboard exploration through to Grade 8 with Distinction. Teaching spans age 4 to the silver generation, with group sizes capped between two and six, an ABRSM and Trinity exam pathway, and an annual public recital in which every student gets a turn on stage. Named formats include Little Nestlings from age 4, paired Nest Buddies lessons, the Nest Ensemble for Grade 2 and above, private one-to-one lessons, Golden Melodies for adults and older learners, and Percussion Explorers. A grand piano practice room can also be booked by the hour at S$32 for students and S$42 for the public, and the studio opens Tuesday to Friday 10am to 8pm and weekends 9am to 6pm.
