The Music Works (TMW) Centre - Chai Chee

TMW began in 2012 as Absolute Piano and has traded as The Music Works since 2016, growing into a music school and instrument store that is also an authorised local dealer for Casio, Yamaha, Roland and Korg. Its Chai Chee branch, inside ESR BizPark at 750 Chai Chee Road, #01-13A, works as both a showroom and a teaching centre, with a second showroom at Joo Seng Warehouse in Tai Seng. At Chai Chee the school teaches piano, guitar, drum, violin and vocal, with curriculums its site describes as fitted to every age. Piano tuition runs from beginner to advanced in classical and pop styles, taught by certified teachers who speak English and Chinese; named teachers include Parry Yap for pop, jazz and modern piano and Grace Tan and Grace Huang for classical piano, including one-to-one lessons for children aged 3 and above. Classical guitar starts from age 6, with adults welcome, and acoustic guitar runs from beginner to advanced covering chords, strumming, fingerpicking, scales and applied theory. Newcomers can try the Smart Start offer of two 30-minute lessons for $49 (usual price $100) within seven days with the same teacher. Regular lesson fees are not published; enquiries go to ask@tmw.com.sg or 8500 5129.
