The Writer's Place (Bukit Panjang) - English Creative Writing classes for Primary School Singapore

The Writer's Place at Junction 10 in Bukit Panjang teaches English creative writing to Primary 1 to 6 pupils, and it has specialised in writing since 2009. Its curriculum follows the latest MOE syllabus and targets Paper 1 Continuous Writing, building exam readiness alongside vocabulary, grammar and creative expression. Lessons run weekly for 1 hour 45 minutes in classes of up to 12 students, with a set rhythm: 45 minutes of teaching through the week's material, 50 minutes of independent composition writing, then revision or games. Two of its named methods are the Literary Expressions Method and the Question Analysis Framework, which help pupils unpack a question and shape relevant, expressive stories. Pupils also get detailed marking on every composition, usually returned the following week. The centre offers hybrid attendance at the centre or online, and a make-up lesson within the same week, up to three times a term, subject to availability.
