VOCA Academy

Rachel Lim founded VOCA Academy around a simple conviction that every individual is gifted with a voice that training and encouragement can develop, and the Orchard academy now teaches singers and voice users from children and youth to adults of all abilities. Lim herself holds dual Masters of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Music Education from Boston Conservatory at Berklee plus a Bachelor of Music from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, where the school says she also lectures in the Voice Department, and she is joined by instructors Cheryl Chitty Tan, Ted Ngoo, Amelia Yeo, Hilary Tay and Nic Wong across musical theatre, classical, pop, R&B, jazz and Mandopop. Programmes span private one-on-one or pair singing lessons, weekly group classes, holiday camps, corporate and school workshops, and VOCA Bouncing Bubs and Tiny Tots music exploration for babies and toddlers aged 6 to 36 months. Students are encouraged towards Trinity College London Music and Rock and Pop certification, with regular internal and external performance opportunities, and lessons run in person above Somerset MRT or online. The directory lists the studio at 2 Orchard Link, #04-01 SCAPE HubQuarters, Singapore 237978.
