Voyage Music

Voyage Music is a Singapore music school run by full-time professional musicians, with teachers qualified from Bachelor's (Honours) to PhD level. Lessons take place at teachers' studios, students' homes or online, which the school says keeps fees affordable while paying teachers fairly. Students choose the Core Programme, focused lessons plus an annual concert, or the Voyage Programme, which adds peer learning, performance classes in Terms 1 to 3 and an annual concert without a performance fee. Courses cover piano, violin, viola and cello, flute and bassoon, voice, conducting, composition, theory, music academics including the Music Elective Programme and O and A Level Music, teaching diplomas, and contemporary guitar plus ukulele. Voice spans classical voice, contemporary pop, jazz and musical theatre, and language coaching. All ages and levels are welcome, for leisure or grading, with lessons typically 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Starting rates on the school's own site include piano from $100 per hour ($85 for early years), strings from $105, winds from $125, voice from $100, composition and theory from $80, and conducting from $200. Teaching diploma study requires Grade 8 piano and Grade 6 theory and targets advanced pianists working towards ABRSM or Trinity diplomas. Voyage Music also supplies accompanists, soloists and ensembles for exams, performances, weddings and corporate events, with trial lessons bookable through its website form.
