Wendy Tan Vocal Studio

Wendy Tan Vocal Studio is listed on The SG Musician under a Vocal tag with phone 8505 6961, and the vocal coach behind it is profiled by the Institute for Vocal Advancement as a Trinity College of London graduate and Mentor Level Vocal Coach with more than 40 years of combined musical and coaching experience. Her coaching spans classical and contemporary styles across genres, with a caring and patient approach, and her clients come for recording readiness, stamina for live performance, musical and college entry auditions, and competition preparation. She has coached local artists including Benjamin Kheng, Rriley, Wengie and Huang Mei Ting, and her credits include the New Creation Church virtual choir projects of 2020 to 2022, the Singapore Management University a cappella group VOIX, where she has been resident coach since 2016, and the New Creation Worship Choir, which she has directed since 2000 with 200 volunteer members. She has also served since 1999 as music curriculum director and executive producer for Josiah Montessori Preschools, writing musical art programmes for children aged 2 to 6 covering vocals, drama and classical music appreciation. Her intake is selective, with a limited number of vocal coaching places taken each year so the studio and her preschool work can both be managed well.
