Looking for piano lessons in Singapore for your child? La Dolce Music Centre is a music school at Holland Road Shopping Centre in Holland Village, offering one-on-one piano, guitar and drum lessons for children and other learners of all ages and levels.
Lessons and programmes
- One-on-one lessons tailored to each student's ability, interests and pace.
- Piano, guitar and drums, taught by teachers who hold at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Exam or hobby: students can prepare for ABRSM examinations or simply learn for enjoyment. Teacher Mustaqim also prepares students for ABRSM, Rockschool and Trinity exams in piano, guitar, drums and ukulele.
- Weekly lessons: once a week, 12 lessons per term (one term is three months), with designated dates for replacement lessons.
Why students choose La Dolce
La Dolce was founded by Natallie Ng, an educator and musician with a Bachelor's Degree (First Class Honours) from Middlesex University, UK, who has taught piano and violin in Singapore, Malaysia and the UK. The centre's mission is to help students discover the magic of music and cultivate it into a lifelong passion, building confidence, discipline and joy along the way.
The teaching team includes Fernice Goh, Vanessa Toh, Karine Khow, Rachel Goh, Sue-Yieng Lee, Brenda Ng and Mustaqim R., with qualifications from institutions such as the Australian Institute of Music, Wichita State University, Goldsmiths (University of London) and LASALLE College of the Arts.
Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons. If they prefer not to, teachers update them on their child's progress after every lesson.
Free trial and visiting the studio
New students can try a free 30-minute lesson. Booking ahead is recommended, as walk-in trials are subject to availability. The studio is at 211 Holland Avenue #02-37, Holland Road Shopping Centre, Singapore 278967, and is open Monday to Friday 1pm to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 7pm. Fees depend on the course and lesson duration, so please contact the centre for details.
