Lessons and programmes

• Piano and violin: lessons taught by Ms Carmen Yiek and Ms Shirley Tan, both piano and violin players.
• Music theory: theory is part of what the school teaches, alongside instrument lessons.
• Exam preparation: Ms Shirley Tan has 9 years of teaching experience and has guided students through the ABRSM examination system.
• Recitals: the school holds regular student recitals, from Recital 1.0 onwards, so students get real performing experience.

Ms Carmen Yiek holds a Bachelor degree from Curtin University (Malaysia) and a Fellowship diploma in pianoforte (FIMEB) from the International Music Examination Board. She won the Highest Scorer Award in Music Theory from Trinity College London and has taught ages from 3 years old to adults.

Ms Shirley Tan holds ABRSM Grade 8 in piano, violin and music theory, plus an Associate Music Performance Diploma (ATCL) from Trinity College London, and has taught since 2014 across all ages and levels.

The studio is described as a clean and cozy environment where students can enjoy learning. Students practise on Kawai pianos (GL-10, K-50 and K-25) as well as digital pianos.
