Music Mood Cello Lessons

Looking for cello lessons in Singapore? Music Mood Cello Lessons is the cello programme of Music Mood, a Singapore strings school established in 2014. It teaches cello to adult beginners and to children, and you do not need any music background to start.

Cello lessons for adults

The adult programme is designed for working adults who want to play quickly. Music Mood teaches a four-part method called NRBB (Notes, Rhythm, Bowing, Bottleneck) and a note-reading system that gets students playing before heavy theory. The school says students can start playing their favourite songs, such as Canon in D or Bach Prelude No. 1, within about 10 lessons. The trial class covers how to hold the cello and bow, left hand posture and a popular tune. Adult cello classes are taught by Jayden, who says he has taught adults the cello for over ten years.

Cello lessons for kids

The kids cello programme follows an ABRSM-based approach for children new to music, covering cello foundation and technique, sight reading, basic music theory, collaboration and exam preparation. A 45-minute trial session lets parents see how lessons run.
