Lessons and programmes

• Violin course for all ages, from children aged 4 and up to youths and adults, for absolute beginners and experienced students preparing for exams, DSA or conservatory auditions, or competitions.
• Cello course taught in stages, from the first encounter with the instrument to examinations, ensemble playing and orchestra auditions.
• Piano course for little ones (ages 4 to 6), children and teenagers (ages 7 to 17) and adults.
• Piano group course for children aged 3.5 to 4.5, in classes of 2 to 4 students, 45 minutes per session over 9 months (3 terms).
• Baby music appreciation class for ages 2 to 3.5, a weekly 45-minute session over 9 months.
• Conducting course led by co-founder Lester Kong, with a live quintet conducting experience every term.
• String orchestra course for all skill levels, with 45-minute group sessions held every two months.
• Music theory and aural training for students of all ages and levels.

Musox compares every student to a music box: the melody inside is revealed by patient, precise "winding" rather than force. Teachers look for each child's area of proximal development, the point between challenge and mastery, and give tailored support in partnership with parents.

The curriculum brings orchestra and musicianship training into every term, so students gain confidence for performances and discipline for exams. Musox students have been invited to perform at the Esplanade's "In Youthful Company" series, most recently on 15 April 2026.
