Heritage Strings and Arts - Marina Square

Heritage Strings & Arts occupies a distinctive niche in Singapore music teaching: it describes itself as the first Chinese musical instrument studio located in a major shopping mall here, and its whole programme is built around two instruments, the guzheng and the guqin. The guzheng, a zither with fixed bridges at both ends and movable bridges in the middle, and the guqin, an instrument with more than 3,000 years of history as a solo tradition of scholars and noblemen, are taught in one-to-one and group classes. The studio's stated aim is to make this tradition relatable to the present day, balancing preservation with a modern outlook, and its teachers are presented as highly qualified and experienced. Students also get performance opportunities, and the studio stocks more than 30 guzheng models. The Marina Square studio sits at 6 Raffles Boulevard, #03-108/109, Singapore 039594, with a second studio at The Star Vista, and both studios open daily from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. Enquiries for the Marina Square studio go through WhatsApp on +65 9167 7655.
