Rave Harps Academy

Rave Harps Academy is a specialist harp school listed at 73 Ubi Road 1, #10-63 Oxley Bizhub, Singapore 408733, and its own harp-lessons page says learning the harp there is for everyone: children as young as 4, youths, adults and seniors. The academy says it has almost twenty years of teaching experience and a team of passionate, professional teachers who have produced professional and award-winning harpists. Students receive weekly individual lessons, with dedicated group masterclass dates each term, and group lessons can also be arranged; the academy also runs masterclasses with visiting international harpists. Its curriculum was created by Artistic Director Katryna Tan. Two intensive tracks, the Accelerated Training Programme and the Elite Harp Programme, are open to selected young harpists by teacher recommendation only, with a strict practice schedule, quarterly masterclasses and priority performance selection. Harp ensemble playing is offered alongside solo study. Harps are provided in class, and beginners generally start on a 34- or 38-string lever harp before moving to a full-sized pedal harp when ready.
